The SmartGuard Pediatric Horseshoe Gel Donut (GELPHR), measured at 5.5”OD x 2.25”ID x 1.25”H, is designed to stabilize and support a child's head and neck during surgical procedures while minimizing the risk of pressure injuries. Its ergonomic design conforms to the contours of the skull for comfort and stability, while also allowing easy access to surgical sites in the head and neck area. This style is designed to help accommodate anesthesia tubes and specific surgical positioning.

  • Gel positioners maintain shape under the patient's weight to provide a more consistent support surface and pressure distribution compared to foam positioners.

  • No-slip backing

  • Radiolucent, latex-free gel maintains imaging clarity and patient safety.

  • OR-durable reuse: Recommended to be used with AMD's impervious head rest cover for infection control benefits but can be used without. Should be cleaned & disinfected with hospital-approved alcohol-free disinfectants after every use.
